Many months ago, Cara Burton came to Big Brothers Big Sisters of Danville Area to set up a pottery class. She let us know that she had always wanted to be a “Big”. Cara completed an application and was interviewed. Within the next few weeks, the “Big” had a “little.” Big Cara and little Cara seem to be a perfect match. Both are artistic and enjoy the same kinds of activities.
Little Cara loves to visit the Danville Museum of Fine Arts where Big Cara is the Executive Director. The pair go on fun tours, and attend the different presentations at the museum. Little Cara is learning to play the piano at the “Big’s” home. Since the match, little Cara is maturing and the child loves to just hang out with the “Big” and her family most of all.
