Dine to Donate at CiCi’s Pizza

On Thursday, August 13th 2015 CiCi’s Pizza hosted a Dine to Donate Event for Big Brothers Big Sisters of Danville Area. 15% of proceeds from 4pm-8pm were given to the organization. Big’s, little’s, volunteers, and board members attended this event and enjoyed themselves while supporting the cause. Annual Back-to-School Picnic Enjoyed by All

On Thursday, August 6th, 2015 Big Brothers Big Sisters held the Annual Back-To-School Picnic at Dan Daniel Park of Danville, VA. Bigs, littles, volunteers, board members, and sponsors were in attendance. Backpacks and afterschool snacks were provided for the youth. There was food, fun, and snow cones. On Saturday, July 25th Big Brothers Big Sisters of Danville Area held a Mini-Conference at Calvary Baptist Church 218 Holbrook St., Danville VA. Trip to Nancy’s Candy Co.

On Wednesday July, 15th, 2015 Big Brothers Big Sisters of Danville Area traveled to Meadows of The Dan, VA. In route they viewed “Lovers Leap” and continued on to Nancy’s Candy Co. Trip to the Virginia Science Museum

On June 26th, 2015, Big Brothers Big Sisters of Danville Area traveled to Richmond, VA to the Virginia Science Museum.  Some of the exhibits had interactive pieces to it which allowed the “littles” to be creative. The youth and volunteers enjoyed a movie about  humpback whales in “The Dome.” A special thanks to the volunteer “Bigs” who went to traveled with us. This trip was made possible through the Community Block Grant.

Littles Take Swim Lessons

The Womack Foundation has sponsored Swim Lessons for the participants of the Big Brothers Big Sisters of Danville Area program. The girls and boys have taken lessons, and enjoyed some free time in the pool. Pictured is some the boys having “beach ball” fun at the YMCA pool. Another group from the program will take advantage of lessons next month.

Breakfast With The Board

On June 5, 2015 there was an event called, “Breakfast With The Board”.  There were ten smiling faces in attendance who shared breakfast with the staff and board.
