Danville's National Night Out was held on Oct 8 at Westmoreland. Assistant Police Chief David Whitley and Police Advisory Member Pat Daniel were pictured together at the community event. Big Brothers Big Sisters of Danville Area Meets a Guinness World Record Holder
On July 24, Boys & Girls Clubs of the Danville Area hosted George Bell, Guinness World Record's tallest man at 7 ft 8 in tall. George visited with 100 children and youth to talk about bullying. He taught the youth to not bully and to not allow others to bully them. The youth were treated to an early dinner afterwards.
