Cara Burton came to Big Brothers Big Sisters to talk about programs at the Danville Museum of Fine Arts. She asked that we send her an application to be a “Big”. The magical process began from there. Cara is always concerned about her “little” and her school work. She makes sure that she is active in the arts, the community, and resort life. The volunteer sends frequent “selfies” of their experiences.
Cara Barrett waited a long time for a “Big”. Finally she got what was just right for her. The little likes visiting her “Big’s” job and learning to play the piano. They attend church together from time to time. Most of all, she just enjoys talking with her big. Big Cara and Little Cara were matched almost two years ago. They have had some “Big” fun since they have been matched.
