Todd Fitts has participated in the Big Brothers Big Sisters program for several years. He mentored several youth in the in-school program where he was introduced to his little, Chad Hill. Todd first started with our mentoring children of prisoners program. He has had several mentees since 2008. The majority of his time has been spent with Chad Hill. Chad and Todd got along so well that the volunteer decided to become a Community Based mentor. He continues to visit Chad at his school during lunch. Over the years he has assisted his little with self-confidence and his self-esteem.
At first, Chad struggled with being a shy individual. Now after being matched with Todd for over 3 years, they have become good friends. He is happy, and he laughs often when he’s with his Big Brother. Both the Big and little enjoy participating in the program. Chad’s mother states that she is happy her son has a wonderful mentor like Todd.
