JC Penney and Big Brothers Big Sisters team up for June round-up campaign
During all of June, JC Penney is allowing customers to round up at the register for Big Brothers Big Sisters. JC Penney, in the Danville Area will invite customers to round up purchases to the nearest dollar and will donate the difference to Big Brothers Big Sisters. In addition, JC Penney will donate $1 for every $50 gift card sold in June, up to $50,000, giving Big Brothers Big Sisters an opportunity to receive additional funding.
“We are so happy to have this opportunity to partner with the local JC Penney stores for this fund-raising opportunity,” said John Gilstrap, Executive Director. “This allows people to shop and support us at the same time. Even those who like to shop online can help us during the month of June.” “Big Brothers Big Sisters Month” will allow all agencies to receive funds from the jcp cares® round up program. Store team members will ask customers to round their purchases to the nearest dollar and the difference will be donated to Big Brothers Big Sisters during June.
In addition, JC Penney will donate $1 for every $50 gift card sold during the month, giving Big Brothers Big Sisters an opportunity to receive an additional $50K. Haggar also will run an in-store campaign: For any pair of Haggar pants purchased, Haggar will donate $1 to Big Brothers Big Sisters with a maximum contribution of $50,000.
