On August 3, 2017, Dough For Degree$ founder, Danielle Jeffers shared with “littles” the early preparations for college. Twenty middle through high school students and parents associated with Big Brothers Big Sisters of Danville Area attended this workshop. Ms. Jeffers encouraged a close relationship with school guidance counselors to keep up with credits, to stay on target for graduation, and keep abreast of scholarship opportunities. She explained how to get ready for college mentally, academically, and financially. She also encouraged the youth to visit colleges as early and as frequent as possible for a better insight of their choice.
