On Sunday, January 25th, 35 people, including Bigs and other volunteers traveled to Petersburg, VA where they toured the Virginia State University’s Campus. On Monday, January 26th there was another tour of the Virginia State Capital Building in Richmond, VA. There, a tour guide led everyone through the historical building and spoke about the symbolism of certain rooms. The youth, volunteers, and staff were also given a presentation from Delegate Les Adams and Delegate Danny Marshall. In the gallery, Big Brothers Big Sisters of Danville Area was given the opportunity to sit in on a session of the House Chamber. Big Brothers Big Sisters was introduced by Delegate Danny Marshall and welcomed by the Speaker of the House, William J. Howell.
