On May 7th and 14th of 2016, Big Brothers Big Sisters of Danville Area participated in The Make Danville Shine project. On the 7th, the mentoring group passed out bags of bird seed to visitors at the Community Market. In addition, two residents won bird feeders. On the 14th, volunteers from DRHA, BBBS of Danville Area, and Calvary Baptist Church participated in the Make Danville Shine project at Cedar Terrace. The youth delivered window cleaner and paper towels to 126 units in the complex. Big Brothers Big Sisters and the Westmoreland Neighborhood Organization gave the youth lessons in community service and involvement.
