2024 Regional Scripps Spelling Bee
Big Brothers Big Sisters of Danville Area held the Regional Spelling Bee at Averett University, Blount Chapel, on Saturday, March 16, 2024. Dante Pauley from Tunstall Middle School emerged as the winner. The winning word was toploftical, which means very superior in air or attitude. The winner is able to compete in the National Spelling Bee in National Harbor, Maryland May 26-31.

Big Brothers Big Sisters at Capitol Hill
Big Brothers Big Sisters of Danville Area CEO Pat Daniel attended BBBS at Capitol Hill Day in Washington DC on February 28, 2024. 115 BBBS agency leaders from 91 agencies from 31 states were in attendance as well as local BBBS affiliate CEO's, National Staff, and BBBS Board of Directors members.
