On Monday, November 25, Big Brothers Big Sisters of Danville Area went to New Ground Church with the Bloom Ministries. There was a discussion activity on “giving thanks.” The youth were given warm fuzzy socks for the winter. On October 24th, 12 girls attended dinner and a movie at the Danville Stadium Cinema. They saw The Addams Family and had dinner which included desert and candy for take-home treats. VA Statewide Neighborhood Conference

September 13-14, the 7 youth and chaperones from Big Brothers Big Sisters attended the Virginia Statewide Neighborhood Conference. The conference included the Youth Café which is designed for youth ages 13-18. Classes included youth engagement and how to get college scholarships. Every morning, there were speakers at breakfast. Daly Day of Donating is Fun for All

On July 7, Big Brothers Big Sisters of Danville Area and Daly Seven Corporation hosted the Daly Day of Donating at a Sacred Heart soccer field. 30 youth and adult chaperones attended the event. Inflatable water slide and tunnels, dunking and photo booths, face painting, and musical chairs were part of the event. On Monday, July 29th, 25 youth and four volunteers from Big Brothers Big Sisters of Danville Area went to see “The Lion King” at the Gretna Theatre. Littles Visit Life Saving Crew Training Center

On July 15, 2019, ten youth and the Mt. Hermon Willing Servants Sunday School Class visited the Danville Life Saving Crew Training Center. Tobie Addis and Sheri Giannini showed the youth the rescue vehicles and equipment used for land and water rescue. They learned the importance of the equipment and how they will help in any emergency situation.
