Brian Foster definitely has a heart for children. He wants to help them be the best that they can be. Lisa Marie DiLuigi is a Volunteer Counselor, Trained Nurse, and Market Director at Legacy Hospice of the Piedmont & Hospice of the Danville Regional Medical Center. Tijuana Harris is a wonderful woman who allows her intelligence to be useful. She works as an Information Technology Specialist at the Danville Institute for Advanced Learning and Research. Cheryl Warren is a volunteer who assists youth in school performance with tutoring. She also visits school with parent; establishing key needed assistance for the youth. Charles “Sandy” Clarke is an outstanding individual. From the first day of volunteering, he took this match seriously. He consistently meets with his “little” on a regular basis. Big Brothers Big Sisters of Danville now has a new executive director. Patricia Daniel served as the agency’s program director for five years. Daniel’s goal is to increase the number of at-risk kids matched with adult mentors. This year the chapter had 169 matches. Daniel replaces John Gilstrap, who is retiring after five years.

Saturday, September 21, 7:00am-Noon Big Brothers Big Sisters of Danville Area is having a Fundraiser Yard Sale on Saturday, Sept. 21 from 7am-noon! The yard sale will take place at Ascension Lutheran Church at 314 W. Main Street in Danville. All proceeds will benefit Big Brothers Big Sisters of Danville Area.

On Saturday, December 6, Big Brothers Big Sisters of Danville Area hosted the Annual Pancake Breakfast in the SOVAH Health Dining Hall. Litehouse Foods volunteers served pancakes to the youth and helped the youth make gingerbread houses. BBBS Board Member and Big Mike Mondul served youth at the Hot Chocolate Bar. On Saturday December 6, Big Brothers Big Sisters of Danville Area attended Alpha Phi Alpha Anniversary Luncheon, Hotel Roanoke. Four Littles attended the event with Board Member Kelvin Perry.
